    Claudia B. Sangster is an independent consultant specializing in financial education, family decision-making, and relationships around money and wealth. Claudia collaborates with clients, their advisors in identifying and establishing appropriate philanthropic, educational programs and governance structures for multi-generational families in order to prepare family members to steward the wealth, to enhance family unity and to help sustain all aspects of the family’s capital—financial, intellectual, human, and social.

    Claudia B. Sangster is the former Senior Vice President and Director of Family Education and Governance in Wealth Management at the Northern Trust Company. Retiring from Northern Trust in September of 2019, Claudia now consults with families to create their legacy of wisdom, wealth and giving through multiple generations.

    Claudia has over 35 years of experience in advising individuals and families in complex estate planning, financial education, family governance and philanthropy. Prior to joining Northern Trust, Claudia was with CTC | myCFO (part of BMO Harris Bank) where she served as the Director of Philanthropy, Estate and Trust Services for families of significant wealth. She was also instrumental in establishing the Harris myCFO Foundation, and its successor, the BMO Charitable Fund Program, a donor-advised fund sponsored by the National Philanthropic Trust for clients seeking a simple, tax efficient vehicle for their philanthropic giving.

    Claudia is a frequent speaker and author on topics including values, finance and family legacy, as well as trends in family education, governance and philanthropy.

    Claudia is a Founding Partner of Social Venture Partners in Los Angeles, Board Chair Emeritus of the Associated Women for Pepperdine, former Board member of the Prostate Cancer Research Institute of Los Angeles, Advisory Board member Emeritus of the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke University Medical Center and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Nicholas Endowment.

  • Jenny Yang Inouye, CPA, MST

    Jenny Inouye, CPA, MST, has over 20 years of experience in public accounting, specializing in the family office, real estate industries, medical, law firm, retail, and manufacturing. She has worked with family offices, high-net-worth individuals, trusts, real estate investment funds and advisors, property managers, corporate owners of real estate, and real estate owners and operators.

    Jenny’s areas of Federal income tax practice specialization include advising on the structuring and unwinding of partnerships and joint ventures, the taxation of partnership operations, and general tax accounting for real estate entities and operations. She frequently represents clients who face tax examinations by the Internal Revenue Service and State taxing authorities. She also has significant experience with the preparation of the tax provision in accordance with ASC 740.
